Soaring demand for prestige property in Australia’s second most expensive city has seen four luxury skyhomes sell for close to $30m.

Development managers Fortis confirmed the sale of four whole-floor apartments in River House, adding that prices were also shifting upwards with market demand. Prices are rising rapidly for premium properties, with two of the residences selling for $6.8m and $6.5m prior to site demolition, and two more whole-floor homes most recently going for $7.9m and $8.2m. All up, River House will have 14 whole-floor luxury residences, with the project in early construction phase on the Brisbane riverfront.

Fortis associate director Dan Boman said they planned to set a new standard for luxurious living in Brisbane to meet the market. “The sales at River House clearly demonstrate the strong appetite for our offering with each transaction a testament to the current high demand and the exceptional quality Fortis is known for delivering,” he said. “We are thrilled to see such a positive response from local buyers, and we are thankful for the trust they have put in us and our product.”

Place Kangaroo Point agent Simon Caulfield said “Brisbane’s luxury real estate market is undergoing a significant transformation”. “Where interstate buyers were prevalent, local buyers are now equally willing to pay the premium rates commanded for luxury full-floor residences,” he said. “Driven by confidence in the city’s strong growth, downsizers in particular, are seeking luxury living options that offer unparalleled lifestyle benefits. The success of River House highlights Brisbane’s appeal as a destination for premium real estate.”

River House’s bespoke architecture is by Plus Architecture and interiors by Mim Design. It sits in sought-after inner-city suburb, Kangaroo Point – on a site that’s 1km from Brisbane City Council’s $190m green bridge that’s soon to link the suburb directly to the CBD.
